Ear Defenders - (Science Sound Topic)
In science we were aiming to create stylish and usable ear defenders for children who wanted to go to music concerts. We split in to design teams and spent some time discussing and collecting the materials we needed. Below are some images of us creating our ear defenders and our finished pieces. We are also wearing our Christmas Jumpers!
Once all the designs were created we test them out and assessed them on their effectiveness of muffling sound. We also presented our designs and findings to each other and have conducted a vote according to these factors and the winners will be announced soon....
Bloom's Grid - Frozen Lands
Being Arctic Explorers
During our frozen lands topics we wanted to know what it would be like to train to go on an arctic exploration. We had to drag (race) up and down the playground pulling the sled (trye) in a relay race again the other teams. We really got a feeling for how hard it must be to train and pull weight for hours on end when we only did it for half an hour! See pictures below.
