‘Faith and Endeavour - Living and Learning together’

Class 6

Welcome to Year 6

Our class teacher in Year 6 is Miss Hinson and our teaching assistants are Mrs Colley and Mrs Clapp.

What are we learning? (Term 3)

This term, in Geography we are going to be learning all about North America and the countries within the continent. In Science we are doing an  electricity unit and are learning to construct circuits and find out how different variables can change the brightness of a bulb, the speed of a motor or noise level of a buzzer.

In English, we are looking at Journey Tale stories and are reading for pleasure ‘The Nowhere Emporium’ by Ross Mackenzie. We are really enjoying predicting what is going to happen in the story!

In Maths, we are currently looking at fractions. There are lots of different things we can do with fractions!

Our learning question for RE is: ‘What does it mean to be a Muslim in Britain today?'

Please head to our 'class learning' tab to see more of what we have been learning on our blog!

Our home learning grid for the term is listed below. Please log on to Mathletics to find challenges linked to the learning for the children to complete.
