This term our class topic is Lands of the Frozen North and South. We will be using the topic throughout our curriculum topics, where we will develop our knowledge of polar regions of the world. Additionally, we will be studying the world map, comparing different countries from Europe and the Americas to the UK.

In science we will find out all we can about sound; how it travels, pitch and volume. Then investigate materials to see which will provide the best insulation against sound.
PE will be the same this term Swimming and Tennis with Gymnastics at the end of term. The aim of swimming is to continue to improve their ability to swim competently, confidently and proficiently over a distance of at least 25 metres; using a range of strokes effectively. In tennis the children will continue to build on and develop technique and control of the racket to perform different types of shots, volleys, forehand and backhand.
SWIMMING - MONDAYS: Children will need their swimming kits etc.
TENNIS - WEDNESDAY: Wear their PE Kits
