Term 1

 

In Topic, we will be learning about how the Early Civilisation of Ancient Egypt has influenced our society today. In addition, we will be looking at how the Egyptians built the pyramids and also how the mummification process takes place.

 

In English, we are currently looking at the poem In The Bleak Mid-Winter by Christina Rossetti. We will soon be writing our own poems in her style of writing.

 

In Science this term, we will be looking at Teeth and Human Digestion. We will be learning about different parts of our digestive system and their functions.

 

We will learn our weekly spellings and timestables throughout the week and children will be tested on a Friday. 

 

Home Learning

 

Weekly Homework - This is set on a Friday and should be handed in by the following Thursday. Children will stick in the homework sheets in their books and will be sent home on a Friday.

 

Bloom's Grid -  Children should complete at least 3 Bloom's Grid activities by the end of term.
